ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporaton Ltd, is a  Government of Kerala undertaking registered under the Companies Act 1956. The Authorised capital is Rs. 30.00 Crores and its paid up capital is 27.23 Crores. The company was formed in 1989 by the amalgamation of Kerala Shipping Corporation and Kerala Inland Navigation Corporation Ltd.,  both were formed in 1975.

The company is engaged in the following business areas:

•  Cargo transportation in inland waterways
•  Supply of bunkers to ships in Cochin port.
•  Backwater tourism activities
•  Construction and repair of small marine vessels.
•  Training of manpower for inland navigation.

 The Head Office of the company is in Gandhi Nagar, Kochi. There are three operating units at Thoppumpady, Thevara and  near High Court.

The company owns two  bulk cargo barges,  One water barge, thee POL tankers, two acid tankers, two Jhankars, two IRS class tourist vessels and Two wooden tourist boats.
