Department of English

The students admitted in the UG level are introduced to English Language and Literature during their I & II years. Being a universal language, the importance of the study of English can never be underestimated. From 1998 onwards the department offers a degree course in Functional English with Journalism and Survey of English Literature as Subsidiaries. It opens the doors to wide canvass of Journalism and fiction. No wonder, successful completion of the course fetches job opportunities both here and abroad. From 2013 onwards the department offers a Post Graduate course in English (Self financing)
