Objectives


  • To create awareness of the assessment process and practices of the University to the students and the faculty through orientation programmes.
  • To process and manage examinations as per the regulations of the University and the academic calendar in line with the statutory and regulatory bodies.
  • liaison with various Deaneries and implement department-specific assessments that guarantee security and confidentiality as per the university guidelines.
  • To ensure the process of awarding Degrees for various programmes adhering to agreed timelines and the University regulations.
  • To continually improve assessment practices through stakeholder engagement by innovative initiatives to enhance the quality of teaching and learning process  in the University.

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

Odd semester supplementary examinations will be held in the month of December 2020 in online mode along with regular odd semester examinations.

As per the notification from UGC dated 15th October 2015. (click for the notification) old batch students prior to 2016batch (UG & MCA),2017 batch (PG),2015 batch (Engg & BHM), and 2014 batch (LLB) are not eligible to apply for any more supplementary examinations. However such students can send the application(click here for application form ) along with fees paid receipt and request letter for special permission to exams@christuniversity.in   Approval of such applications will be entirely at the discretion of Vice-Chancellor. If the application is rejected the fee paid will be refunded. Please find the procedure for payment

The current batch of students and old batch students from the 2016 batch (UG and MCA) / from 2017 batch (PG)/from the 2015 batch( Engg and BHM) /2014 batch (LLB) should apply for supplementary Examinations only through the student login.

Last date to apply:

10/11/2020

Examination fee: Rs. 500 per course for theory and practical.  Rs 2500 for courses with only submission/dissertation /project /seminar.

Odd/ Even Supplementary Examination- Aug- Sept 2020 

BTech/ BArch//MTech Supplementary Examinations for the Odd/Even semester courses will be held after the completion of the examinations for regular even semester courses and is likely to be held in August-September 2020. The examination will be conducted online and for 50% of the total syllabus. The year of the Syllabus to be studied will be informed to the students by email /SMS. Students are requested to contact the department offering the course for the portions or the units covered for the examinations. The examinations are conducted online using a third-party platform. All communications and the test links will reach you only in your Christ university email ID. Any correspondence from your personal email ID will be not entertained by the office

Even Semester Supplementary Examinations - July 2020  

(Only for 8 semester completed students)

Students who completed 8-semester Btech are eligible to attend the Even supplementary exam along with Even regular exams commencing from 13 July 2020. The timetable is displayed for Btech supplementary examinations on the university website. In case, any subjects are missing from the timetable, please bring to our notice by emailing to rinto.varghese@christuniversity.in

A. Students who have completed all the semesters of their programme but have failed to graduate due to low scores in CIA in a particular course in any of the semester/s can apply for CIA repeat notification in the month of June and November on the University website.

B. Students who are in the final semester but failed in any of the courses in the previous semesters due to low scores in CIA can apply only for CIA repeat notified in the month of November on the University website.

C. The applicants should submit the duly filled form to the COE personally.

D. After the verification of all the documents, payment of the fees by the applicant, the application will be forwarded to the office of Dean for further action.

E. Maximum number of courses allowed for CIA repeat at a time is only two.

F. The repeat course will follow a tutorial system of 30 hours in duration not exceeding 30 days during which the entire repeat CIA process is expected to be completed.

G. The maximum time spent on a day for CIA repeat tutorial is only 2 hours.

H. If a course has been revised or replaced by another in the changed syllabus, the student shall be required to complete the course syllabus applicable to him or her In CIA repeat, the applicant has to complete all the three components of CIA under the supervision of a tutor assigned by the department.
