XIME Chennai uses its advantageous location for the benefit of students and faculty alike. The location in the midst of industry enables us to leverage the experience of industry’s very best in the form of guest lectures and industrial visits. On the other hand, industry does find it convenient to use our very able faculty members to analyse, and solve a few of their vexatious problems through consulting with us. And of course, placements do become that much more facile, given where we are located.

1. Guest Speakers
Leaders from industry are cordially invited to come over to the Institute at a date and time of their convenience and share their invaluable experiences with our students. Many leaders have gone back from these interactions feeling refreshed and invigorated by the variety and incisiveness of the questions posed to them by the students.

2. Management Development Programmes
These programmes over a couple of days at the maximum, tend to focus the attention of the participants on a certain burning question or topic that is seemingly universal in its scope. The lead faculty attempts to stimulate learning through an interactive process, where the outcome is more dependent on the cumulative experience of the attendees, rather than on the individual expertise of the faculty.

3. Seminars and Conferences
XIME Chennai does organize seminars and conference at regular intervals on topics that are relevant, current and are applicable to a wider audience. XIME invites various eminent speakers to present their thoughts for the benefit of the audience, in order to reach far reaching conclusions on the central theme.

4. Industrial Visits
Through the intervention of several of our friends in industry, our students visit various industries and get to learn at first hand, how these enterprises are able to get work done, how they are able to maintain quality and costs, and deliver to the customers in the shortest possible time. They learn how to ensure that an organization’s competitive advantage needs to be nurtured and expanded over time.

5. Consulting
Corporates have used the unique experiences and capabilities of our faculty to involve them in analyzing and solving some of the issues that might have cropped up in their operations. The advantage of having faculty who have experience in multiple functional areas also means that industries can depend on them to proffer a rounded and well thought out solution that would mean the greatest good of the greatest number.
