THE POST GRADUATE AND RESEARCH DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS

Being a research centre under the University of Calicut, giving maximum focus on the research oriented activities along with teaching. The teachers as well as the students of the department shows a keen interest in  research paper publications, paper presentations, extension lectures and to conduct socio-economic surveys as part of the field projects. There are research scholars doing Ph D under the guideship of Dr. Vimala M (Head of the Dept.). The department has undertaken initiatives to promote research culture among teachers as well as the students.

The Post Graduate Department of Economics has become the  research centre with effect from the academic year 2018-19
