EXTENSION

       The Department organized an Intercollegiate Mathematics Fest “DWITHI - 2K19” on  18th  and  19th  of  December 2019 . The fest   was inaugurated by Dr.Shinto K.G, Asso. Professor Christ College,  Irinjalakuda.

• An intercollegiate treasure hunt competition was organized on 19 December 2019 as part of DWITHI 2K19. Around 12 teams from different colleges in Kerala participated in the competition.

• On 19 December2 019, an intercollegiate code breaking competition named ‘MANICHITHRATHAZHU’ was conducted as a part of DWITHI 2K19. There were participants from various colleges .

2. POLARIS - Mathematics Exhibition

      The Mathematics exhibition  “POLARIS-2K19” was inaugurated by our principal. In the exhibition our students  presented their mathematical talents  by exhibiting various still models, working models, brain storming  mathematical puzzles , mind  blowing games and  numerous  charts  depicting  geometrical  patterns , number patterns , important theorems   and  problems. Students from various departments  and  institutions participated in the event.

Academic Year 2018 - 2019

1. Workshop on Olympiad problems

              One day workshop on ‘ Mathematical Olympiad problems’ was organized on 28th July 2018   for students of classes X and XII. Students and teachers from various schools participated actively in this programme.

2. PRAGATI -2K19

             The Department organized an Intercollegiate Mathematics Fest “PRAGATI - 2K19” on  24th  and 25th  of January 2019 . The fest as well as the Mathematics exhibition  “POLARIS 2K19”  was inaugurated by Dr. Joju K.T, Asso. Professor Prajyothi Nikethan College,  Pudukad. As a part of the fest, lecture series were given by Dr. Joju K.T, Asso. Professor Prajyothi  Nikethan College, on the topic Coding In Cryptography  and Dr.A. Noufal, Asst. Professor, CUSAT, on Introduction to Vector Spaces.
