International Candidates are admitted through direct applications. International Candidates are Indian nationals or foreign nationals with valid passport or travel document residing outside India and not in a position to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management at various centers in India. These candidates are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).

Eligibility

Admission requirements for International Candidates*
The minimum admission requirements are:

  • Undergraduate degree or higher with a minimum of three years at a university, with a major and a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent GPA
  • A valid Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score
  • A completed admission application form with three letters of reference

* International Candidates refer to Indian/foreign national candidates residing outside India.

In order to qualify as an International Candidate for the purpose of applying to PGP 2020-22, a candidate should have been (or is expected to be) residing outside India for a period of not less than 18 months as on December 31, 2019, and be outside India on the CAT 2019 examination date. The Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad should produce a certificate from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stating that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on December 31, 2019. This certificate needs to be produced along with the admission application. Foreign nationals need to have a valid passport/travel document from a country other than India. Foreign nationals who are present in India at the time of Common Admission Test (CAT) are required to take the same.

Admission/Selection Process

The candidates should produce Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score of not more than one year's validity and they should have a total scaled score of at least 700. In case of foreign nationals from non-English speaking countries, additional TOEFL scores should also be produced. Personal interviews are a part of the selection process and they will be held in India. Candidates called for personal interviews will have to make their own travel arrangements. Currently the annual fee for International Candidates is US $15000 (likely to be revised for the 2020-2022 batch). The fee includes tuition, course material, boarding and lodging. The annual fee does not cover personal expenses such as travel, clothes, stationery, laundry etc.

Applicants should note that the mere fulfillment of the minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short-listing by IIMK.

Application forms may be downloaded by clicking here. Completed admission application form along with the documents specified above and a bank draft for US $100 (processing fee) drawn in favor of "Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode" must reach IIMK latest by February 10, 2020. Foreign nationals should route their applications through the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The short-listed candidates will be required to undergo an interview before April 15, 2020. The selected candidates will be informed by April 30, 2020.
