Skill Enhancement Initiatives

Start up- Astrophile

The sale of stars fabricated in the departmental start up programme Astrophile conducted on 18/12/2019.

Toy exhibition   

Third year B.Sc students constructed Toys based on the basic principles of Physics and an exhibition was arranged in the department on 14/6/2019. Students explained the working principle to the friends and teachers. Students tried their level best to convert their ideas into working toys. 

Career Guidance class

A career guidance class was arranged for the third year degree students on 16/7/2019.  The class was handled by Mr. Harikumar D, H R Trainer and Coach. He gave the students a detailed description about how to face an interview more effectively.

Preparation for competitive Exams

Model NET Examination

In association with APT (Association of Physics Teachers), department organized a model NET examination on 13/6/2019 for the M.Sc students and also for the interested students from the pass out batch.

APT Talent Search Examination

State level talent search examination of APT was held at Vimala College on 30/11/2019. Dr Mini Krishna Coordinated the examination. 52 students attended the exam.

IAPT NGPE Examination 

Vimala College was the centre of National Graduate Physics Examination (NGPE) organised by  Indian Association of Physics Teachers  IAPT on 19/1/2020.Dr Dhanya Johnson was the centre co-ordinator.
