Student Achievements

Ms. Kathiya Varghese of Semester IV B.Sc Physics participated in the Republic Day Parade 2020.​​

Sr Lydia Serto, Semester IV , M.Sc Physics (2018-2020 Batch) cleared NET examination.

A team from final year B.Sc Physics students (Aadithya Suresh, Andria Joseph, Anusha A B, Akhila Viswanathan, Sikha S Menon) participated in YIP programme.

Mariya Lilly Thomas and Irin Mariya V S. of IV Semester B.Sc Physics bagged the first prize in Quiz competition organized by  Mathrubhoomi in connection with MBIFL20.

Malayala Manorama- IBS 'Yuva-Mastermind' season 9 

Vimala college bagged first prize worth 2 lakhs in the Malayala Manorama- IBS 'Yuva-Mastermind' season 9. Dr. Veena Gopalan E and Dr Aneesh George, Assistant Professors, Dept. of Physics and  Rakhi Sanker, Aloysia Francis Vadukut, Anjana C, Anupama K Xavier, Adithya A of S6 B.Sc Physics were awarded the prestigious title of 'Yuva Mastermind season 9'  and cash prize of 2 lakhs for the project - 'Cancer diagnosis drug delivery and treatment using green synthesised magnetic fluid nano process'.

Students Science Festival of Kerala-SSFK 2017

A team of five students-Rakhi Sanker ,Anjana C, Anupama K Xavier ,Adithya A and P Athira Unni secured First prize with a cash award of Rs.25,000/- for the best project in the Student Science Festival  organised by Janmabhoomi and Science India .They also won the second prize in Project presentation contest at SreeKrishna College, Guruvayur.
